Personal support and independent living project – Supporting people with AS to live independently in the community and where they can flourish as an individual. Support workers offer individuals the opportunity to access the community and to gain the skills needed to be independent. This is one of our paid for services.
Employment and training – our unique project supports young people with AS aged 18-25 years to navigate the road to employment. Our employment advisors offer help to seek job vacancies while also encouraging positive work ethics by the means of works experience. Our in-house facility includes training workshops based in Beccles that provides a structured work experience taster designed to develop invaluable employability skills. The programme includes making Personal Development Plans and trying new activities and the development of techniques to deal with personal stressors.
